Job Title: Compliance SpecialistProperty Assignment: Corporate OfficeJob Location & Work Arrangement: This is a full-time, 100% in-office role based at our Saint Paul, MN headquarters. Candidate must reside in Minnesota, as remote work or relocation arrangements are not available for this position. Salary Range: $53,000-$65,000 per year**A minimum of 2 to 5 years of dedicated corporate compliance experience is required to be successful in this role.*Job SummaryA Compliance Specialist will be responsible for auditing property files, assisting and training property staff in all areas regarding compliance with Section 8 and 42 subsidy programs and help manage each property's subsidy program either directly or in conjunction with available staff to ensure compliance and efficiency.Essential Functions:Ensures Program ComplianceReviews all certification paperwork for compliance with relevant program guidelinesStays abreast of programmatic updates and demonstrates independency in referencing compliance manuals, such as the HUD 4350, property closing documents, etc.Assists with oversight and follow up on timely processing of all certificationsPulls and maintains all EIV reports in accordance with department policiesAssists with MORs and other agency auditsCompletes annual reportingCompletes monthly/quarterly reporting, as neededSupports Site StaffReviews and responds to certification submissions in a timely manner as outlined by current department policiesEducates site staff and new hires on compliance policies and proceduresAlerts site staff to any inadequacies in certification submissions, in a manner that is clear and consistent with the most current department policiesUpdates and Maintains all Tracking Systems/SoftwareNavigates Yardi software and regularly updates data in manner consistent with most current department guidelinesNavigates Compliance Tracker matrix and regularly updates data in a manner consistent with most current department guidelinesNavigates University software and demonstrates competency in locating necessary paperwork and department policiesPerforms various other duties, as assigned by the Director of ComplianceMinimum Requirements:Excellent verbal and written and communication skillsExcellent organizational and analytical skillsAbility to successfully integrate changes into existing systemsAbility to manage multiple projects or tasksAbility and willingness to learn and adapt to updated to policies or proceduresAbility and willingness to travel to various locations, as necessary, using self-procured forms of transportationEducational / Experiential Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required, post-high school education preferredThree years of experience in property management, business, or real estateThree years of experience administering federal subsidized housing programsWorking knowledge of Microsoft, Outlook, and Excel; Yardi knowledge preferredAll candidates are required to pass a background check and drug test as a condition of employment; additionally, candidates for a facilities position are required to pass a pre-employment physical.Premier Housing Management & Development, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
