Company OverviewBlack Mountain Dynamics secures and supports the IT infrastructure for small and mid-size enterprises. We are currently scaling our operations to support high-growth partners like Waymo, focusing on the rapid deployment of wired and wireless infrastructure at new sites.Position SummaryWe are looking for an Associate Technical Project Manager to support our Lead TPM in managing enterprise-scale IT network deployments. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who can help coordinate the moving parts of multiple concurrent site build-outs, ensuring they transition smoothly from initial site build-out to production launch.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Leadership: Assist the Lead TPM in managing 10–20 concurrent network deployment projects through all lifecycle phases.Deployment Coordination: Help coordinate cross-functional technical teams, including network engineers, construction trades, and IT vendors.Documentation & Tracking: Create and maintain vital project documentation, including technical specifications, deployment plans, and site-specific requirements.Meeting Support: Attend or conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.Reporting: Help develop and maintain project plans, including schedules and resource tracking.Issue Resolution: Identify project risks and assist in resolving issues that may impact delivery timelines.QualificationsRequired1–3 years of experience managing or supporting IT projects (experience in a fast-paced MSP environment is a plus).Foundational Knowledge: A working knowledge of IT infrastructure and a basic understanding of networking technologies.Tool Proficiency: Experience with project management software and tools.Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills.Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to translate technical requirements into actionable tasks.PreferredBachelor’s degree in a related field.Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) or progress toward a PMP/CAPM.Familiarity with network hardware configuration for routers, switches, firewalls, and WiFi.Key CompetenciesOrganization: Superior time management and organizational skills.Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to tracking site-specific deployment data.Adaptability: Resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.Collaboration: Strong team management and conflict resolution skills.Working ConditionsPrimarily office-based with 20–30% travel to client sites for deployment oversight.May require occasional evening and weekend work to accommodate deployment schedules.Compensation & BenefitsSalary range is $100k to $160k and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with company match.Certification reimbursement and professional development opportunities.Paid time off, company holidays, and flexible work arrangements.Career GrowthThis position offers a direct path to Senior Project Management, Program Management, or Technical Director roles within Black Mountain Dynamics.
