LOF Technician
The Lube, Oil & Filter (LOF) Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, tire services, fluid checks, and basic inspections. This role plays an important part in ensuring vehicles are properly maintained while delivering fast, friendly, and professional service to customers. The LOF Technician works closely with Service Advisors and other technicians to maintain efficient shop operations and support overall store performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer and company standardsConduct vehicle courtesy inspections and report any recommended servicesCheck and top off vehicle fluids including coolant, transmission, brake, and windshield washer fluidRotate and inspect tires, including checking tire pressure and tread depthReplace air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades as neededMaintain accurate service documentation and inspection resultsAssist technicians with basic shop tasks and vehicle movement when necessaryKeep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standardsFollow company procedures and service guidelines for all maintenance servicesCommunicate any potential mechanical issues to Service Advisors or senior techniciansQualificationsMotor Vehicle Inspector's License (preferred)Previous automotive service experience preferred but not requiredBasic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learnValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to safely operate vehicles and shop equipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Skills & CompetenciesBasic automotive maintenance knowledgeStrong work ethic and reliabilityTime management and efficiencyTeam collaborationCustomer service mindsetAbility to follow safety procedures and shop processes Physical RequirementsStanding, bending, and kneeling for extended periodsAbility to lift tires, tools, and equipmentWorking in a shop environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures
