We're currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician for the Commonwealth of Kentucky – Commonwealth Office of Technology (COT). JOB DESCRIPTION: The Commonwealth Office of Technology, Incident Response Team has an open position for a Desktop Support Technician. The position will be located at the Data Center in Frankfort, KY, and involves a cubicle environment. LOCATION: Frankfort, KY HOURS: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS: Effective Communication: Demonstrates courteous, respectful, and clear communication, avoiding abrasive or condescending language. Clarity in Communication: Simplifies complex information to ensure customer understanding and satisfaction. REQUIRED SKILLS: 2-3 years of IT experience as a Desktop Support technician with experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues with hardware and software systems, providing general desktop support duties with excellent troubleshooting skills. Reliable attendance. Excellent customer service and communication skills. PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience in customer service-oriented workplace. IT experience and knowledge in the following: Desktop Support (Remote Support), Windows 10 Operating System, Mapping network drives, Global Protect support (VPN), General NAS knowledge, Office Suite (particularly Outlook 2013 or higher), Preferred ServiceNow Ticketing System experience. Experience with Desktop Support work. Experience working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment (adaptability). Experience working with, and as an active part of, a lively team (team player). Multi-tasking ability. Documentation skills (clear, concise). Experience with Active Directory. Experience with remote support or desktop support.
