The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling bank and credit card statements, processing invoices, managing accounts receivable and payable, and maintaining the general ledger. This role requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and excellent attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of financial data.Key ResponsibilitiesReconcile bank and credit card statements monthlyProcess and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsMaintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial recordsManage payroll processing and reportingPrepare and submit BAS (Business Activity Statements) and assist with GST reconciliationsHandle invoicing and billing activitiesMaintain and organize financial documentation and recordsAssist with month-end and year-end financial closing processesCoordinate with external accountants for tax and audit purposesRequirmentsRequired Qualifications And SkillsProven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in an Australian accounting environmentProficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooksStrong knowledge of GST, BAS preparation, and payroll processingExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectivelyStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with Australian tax regulations and compliance requirementsPreferred QualificationsCertificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting or equivalent qualificationExperience working with Australian small to medium enterprisesWhy join optiBPO?optiBPO is an exciting workplace where you will be surrounded by smart, talented professionals.
