A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 schedule or 40 hours for 8/10 schedule • Must have scrub experience and 2 years of direct CVOR experience required • Cardiac call required - approximately 6 minimum per month (may be up to 10 if short staffed) • Call schedule includes 1 per weekday and 2 weekend shifts (weekends are 24-hour shifts) • Will float within scope to meet facility needs and perform other cases if no CVOR cases available • Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) • Must be nicotine free - negative 10 panel nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required • Wear ceil blue scrubs and use EPIC charting system • Complete time-sensitive modules averaging 6-15 hours (non-billable) • Pass EKG and pharmacy tests during orientation (2 attempts maximum) • Must be willing to participate in training students and new staff at this teaching facility • Experience required with cardiac OR procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and various cardiac surgical interventions • Daily census of 55-60 patients with 18 beds in unit Facility: This is a 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital that provides comprehensive cardiovascular surgical services.
