We are unified in our commitment to building a better world in the communities we serve across the United States.Arcosa Aggregates is currently seeking a Mine Foreman based out of our Peoria, AZ location to oversee day to day operations and manage personnel. This role is responsible for overseeing safe and efficient mining operations, leading and training employees, ensuring equipment and workplace inspections, maintaining production quality and scheduling, managing inventory, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Day to DayActively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognitionComply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulationsEnsure efficient and safe operation of crusher and wash plantOrder inventory as needed for routine maintenance of the plantPerform task assigned in a safe and efficient mannerLead team in production process to ensure quality and timely production Assists maintenance operators, equipment operator, and other process operators to complete assignmentsComplete understanding of the job, company policies and processesApply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of complex tasksFamiliar with a broad variety of field's concepts, practices and proceduresMay operate specialized equipment that requires advanced skillsTrain, instruct and direct work activities of employeesMonitor and adapt processes and scheduling to accomplish production goalsMay be required to fill-in so that production goals can be metEnsure daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections are being completed consistently to maintain equipment performanceMaintain strong communications with other plant employees and operatorsPerform other duties or responsibilities as assignedAbout YouPrompt, regular, and predictable attendancePositive, team-based attitudeThe ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)High school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience in the job preferredPrevious leadership experience preferredIndependent judgment and resourcefulness or sense of leadership are requiredAbility to solve and identifies complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and creativityComputer savvyMust be hands onWorking ConditionsMust be able to meet all MSHA safety requirements and adhere to company safety policies.Must be able to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat in excess of 100 degrees, cold and rain.While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, as well as bend and lift up to 80 pounds.
