The opportunityWe are building a portfolio of high-potential healthcare ventures spanning new services, clinical services, and clinical business platforms - with near-term focus rooted in surgery-driven pathways. The mandate for this role is venture creation: shaping strong concepts into launched businesses with the right business models, operating foundations, partnerships, and leadership teams to carry each venture forward. This role is for a builder - someone who combines strategic clarity with hands-on execution, and who enjoys moving from concept to traction to institutional-quality operations without losing speed. The expectation is that you will be deep in the operations as you scale up the teams. What you’ll leadVenture build & launchTranslate concepts into powerful, executable business plans: market thesis, model design, unit economics, go-to-market, operating cadence, and risk controls. Stand up early operations: initial hiring, structures, workflows, reporting, quality/compliance posture, and early customer/partner traction. Create launch playbooks and operating standards so each venture benefits from shared templates, lessons learned, and an execution system that compounds. Leadership teamsAssemble and lead the leadership teams required to advance each venture - early operators, functional leaders, and domain experts. Establish a high-accountability cadence: goals, KPIs, decision rights, and performance expectations. Partnerships & ecosystemDevelop strategic partnerships across clinical, commercial, distribution/channel, and enabling services. Coordinate the ecosystem required for commercialization, including navigation of regulatory regimes. Capital formationLead early external capital formation for priority ventures: refine the narrative, build materials, cultivate investors/strategics, and drive fundraising processes. Design funding pathways that match venture maturity—using internal seed funding for incubation, then positioning ventures for follow-on capital as validation milestones are met. Preferred experienceSenior leadership role in taking a healthcare-related venture from early stages through a successful liquidation event. Familiarity with service commercialization pathways and comfort navigating regulatory and quality realities. Experience around surgery-centered clinical models, workflows, and stakeholder environments. Experience raising early-stage capital or partnering with strategics to fund and accelerate commercialization.
