Veterinary Technician

Job Description The Mountain Hospital for Animals is looking for an experienced veterinary technician to add to our team of good natured, caring staff. We are a small clinic, located in the heart of beautiful Lookout Mountain, TN, close to all manner of outdoor activities, from hiking, climbing and biking to boating and hang gliding. From the mountains to the valley, it's a beautiful part of the country to call home. Our clinic accepts dogs, cats, wildlife, exotic and avian species, so experience with and an appreciation for exotics is strongly preferred. Full time employment is preferred, but part-time may be considered. Clinic schedule is Monday-Friday with staff alternating on Saturday mornings. Shifts are typically 7:30am-6pm, and 7:30-noon on Saturdays.Essential qualifications:- 3-5 years of experience, with references- comfort with anesthesia, labwork and hospitalized patient care- willingness to help with kennel and reception duties on a periodic basis- team-focused attitude and a good sense of humor: when we support each other, the entire team is stronger- Salary commensurate with experience
