Our Registered Communication Distribution Designers (RCDD) have designed and installed thousands of structured cabling systems, and our AV systems integration teams have a depth of experience unmatched in the industry.The Audio-Visual Sales Engineer is an integral part of the AV team. This role will collaborate with the Design team to secure pre-sales and post-sales requirements, requiring a strong understanding of Audio-Visual principles, practices, and design. The Sales Engineer must have substantial communication skills to interface with clients, architects, contractors, project managers, and company staff. This role will work directly with Customers, Sales & AV Designers. Responsibilities:Research, design, and engineering from simple to complex AV systemsAttend sales meetings and job walksCreate Project Closeout DocumentsResponsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the Sales team as the key technical advisorActing as lead Sales Engineer during the presales process through solution implementationProviding support to the Design Team in requirement identification, solution design, and customer presentation for Audio-Visual Project OpportunitiesProviding discovery (on-site/remote) support to capture environmental detailsArchitecting cost effect, reliable, supportable, Audio-Visual designs based on the client's needs analysisMeet with the client to develop a clear and concise project requirements document for each projectDeveloping detailed Scope of Works for Audio-Visual ProjectsCreating and modifying documentation, Scopes of Works (SOW), line drawings (DRW), Bill of Materials (BOM), and Site Survey (SSRV) as requiredInteracting in person, by phone, &/or by e-mail directly with client management and end-usersResponsible for articulating technology and product positioning to both business and technical usersIdentifying all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales processDemonstrating continued technical education through vendor and/or industry certification achievementDelivering technology training to Sales and customers as requestedQualifications:Minimum of 5 years experience within the audio visual industryMinimum of 2 years experience in engineering & designExtensive knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, control, and networkingAVIXA, CTS, and CTS-D certifications preferredCertifications in Crestron, Extron, Shure, Planar, Biamp, AMX, QSC, Polycom, Cisco, and othersCompetent use of MS Office, Visio and Database Programs with high attention to detailBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision/Life401K with company matchingPaid time off
