This program is delivering a secure, resilient, multi-enclave digital infrastructure spanning Unclassified through TS/SCI security domains, integrating cutting-edge commercial and government technologies, including cloud computing, SD-WAN, Enterprise Cross Domain Solutions, Data Distribution Networks, Scalable Transport, and Data Link Integration Modules across global operational sites.As a Senior Technical Writer/Editor, you will serve as the program's documentation authority - translating complex systems engineering designs, network architectures, and operational procedures into clear, accurate, and mission-ready technical documentation that supports warfighter training, government reviews, program milestone events, and configuration baseline management. Your work ensures that every DI Network release is supported by the documentation warfighters and operators need to deploy, operate, and sustain the network effectively across all domains of modern conflict. coordination between organizations.There are positions available in Reston, VA and San Diego, CA.Job ResponsibilitiesServe as the senior technical documentation authority for the ABMS DI Network program, leading the development, editing, and maintenance of all program technical documentation across Major and Minor DI Network Releases and work packagesResearch, write, and edit a broad range of technical documents, including system design documents, interface control documents, deployment procedures, installation guides, operations and maintenance manuals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs), and test reportsTranslate complex engineering concepts, network architecture designs, and systems integration requirements into clear, concise, and accurate technical content accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences, including warfighters, operators, and senior government leadershipDevelop and maintain program-level documentation standards, style guides, and templates, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with DoD documentation requirements across all program deliverablesCollaborate closely with systems engineers, network architects, cybersecurity personnel, test engineers, and logistics teams to gather technical content and ensure documentation accurately reflects current design baselines and deployment configurationsSupport the preparation of evidence packages, technical briefings, and supporting documentation for Government-led Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), quarterly Release Planning Events (RPEs), and program milestone reviewsDevelop and maintain operator training materials, quick reference guides, and user manuals to support warfighters onboarding and system operation across all DI Network security enclaves, including Unclassified, Secret, Secret//REL, and TS/SCI environmentsManage the program documentation library, ensuring version control, configuration management, and accessibility of all technical documents in accordance with program and government requirementsReview and edit technical documents produced by other program team members, providing constructive feedback and ensuring all deliverables meet program quality standards prior to government submissionSupport the development of program management documentation, including program plans, status reports, risk registers, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholdersEnsure all technical documentation complies with applicable DoD standards, regulations, and data item description (DID) requirements, including DI-IPSC, DI-MISC, MIL-STD-38784, and applicable Air Force documentation standardsCoordinate with the government customer and program leadership to manage documentation deliverable schedules, track review and approval status, and ensure timely submission of all contractual documentation deliverablesQualifications Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, Information Technology, or related field + 6 years of related experience OR Master's Degree + 4 years of related experienceMinimum 3-5 years of experience in a senior technical writing or documentation role supporting large-scale DoD systems integration, network infrastructure, or command and control programsActive Secret clearance required at time of hire;
