Posting Number Stu455P Working Title Summer IT Services Desk Student Assistant FLSA Non-Exempt Student Pay Level B Advertised Pay Rate $11.00 Position Status Regular Student Employment Department Student Emp Information Technology Services Job Summary/Basic Function This position is at the IT Services Desk Duties Answering phone calls and assisting the caller Assisting walk-up users Helping the full-time and part-time staff Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues Running malicious software detection programs (viruses, malware) Installing OS updates Assisting users with retrieving/changing account information This can be a stressful area at times, but is a good learning environment for those wanting to work in the computer or customer service fields Minimum Qualifications Enrolled for either summer or fall 2025 Able to grasp new skills and concepts quickly Ability to work alone some times, but must be able to communicate well with team members Self motivated Ability to handle effectively users under much stress Macintosh and/or Linux experience a plus, but not necessary Preferred Qualifications Posting Date 03/25/2026 Close Date Special Instructions Summary
