Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with accurate and timely month-end closings and financial reportingPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a proactive and timely mannerPerform variance analysis between actuals and forecasts, providing insights to support decision-makingSupport budgeting, forecasting and financial analysisPrepare and file tax returnsMaintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standardsImplement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracySafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field5+ years of Cost or Management Accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP or financial reportingProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical, organizational and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesPreferred QualificationsExperience in a Manufacturing environmentCPA or MBA
