Crooter emphasizes long-term partnerships, combining speed, market intelligence, and rigorous assessment to deliver lasting impact for ambitious software companies.Role Description The Remote Recruiter will manage full-cycle executive and senior-level searches for venture-backed software clients, primarily in high-growth technology sectors. This is a full-time hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA, with flexibility for partial work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with founders and hiring leaders to define roles, develop strategic hiring briefs, and align on success criteria and compensation benchmarks. The recruiter will proactively source and headhunt candidates, conduct screening and assessment interviews, and present qualified shortlists with clear insights on fit and impact. Additional responsibilities include managing candidate pipelines, coordinating interview processes, advising clients on market trends, and maintaining accurate documentation in recruitment systems while providing a high-touch, consultative experience to both clients and candidates.Qualifications Experience with full-cycle recruitment and executive search in technology or software sectors, ideally supporting venture-backed or high-growth companies.Proven ability to proactively source and headhunt passive candidates using networking, research, direct outreach, and market mapping.Strong stakeholder management skills, including partnering with founders and executives to define roles, refine requirements, and advise on hiring strategy.Competence in candidate assessment, including structured interviewing, evaluation of skills and behavioral fit, and clear communication of candidate profiles.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft tailored outreach, role briefs, and candidate reports.High level of organization and attention to detail, with experience managing multiple searches, pipelines, and timelines simultaneously.Comfort working in a hybrid environment from San Francisco, CA, with the discipline to work independently and collaborate effectively across remote tools.Familiarity with ATS or CRM systems and proficiency with common productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, LinkedIn Recruiter).Knowledge of or keen interest in sectors such as AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, and other high
