If you have a passion for clinical testing and a commitment to quality, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Follow standardized procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing to ensure precise testing outcomes.Perform laboratory analyses using approved methods aligned with department SOPs.Review, interpret, and accurately report test results, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Maintain meticulous records of all testing activities, including quality control logs, instrument calibrations, and maintenance reports.Conduct proficiency testing in accordance with regulatory standards to demonstrate testing accuracy.Adhere to all CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines, fostering a compliant and safe laboratory environment.Identify and troubleshoot issues that may compromise test performance or result reporting, escalating as necessary, and documenting corrective actions.Ensure proper documentation of reagents, test kits, including receipt, expiration, and open dates.Participate in ongoing training, departmental meetings, and safety sessions to stay current with evolving regulatory standards and laboratory protocols.Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments while providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients or external partners.Assist in inspections and regulatory audits, maintaining a professional and compliant workspace.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff to support laboratory operations.Required Skills:Strong understanding of clinical laboratory testing procedures and quality assurance practices.Proficiency in computer systems, including laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and electro-chemical analyzers.Knowledge of quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) processes.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple procedures simultaneously.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.Nice to Have Skills:Experience with high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting.Prior involvement in regulatory inspections or audits.Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and equipment usage.Bilingual abilities or additional language skills are a plus.Preferred Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field preferred.Associates Degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology as an alternative.Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from recognized organizations such as ASCP or AMT.At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience performing high complexity testing.State and/or national licensure as required by local regulations.Other Requirements:Capable of organizing and prioritizing work to handle multiple procedures efficiently.Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with clients/customers.Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and data security.Willingness to participate in ongoing training, safety programs, and regulatory inspections.Flexibility to work various shifts if needed, including weekends or holidays, based on laboratory scheduling.Physical requirements include ability to stand for extended periods, handle laboratory equipment, and perform fine motor tasks.Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly contribute to patient health and the advancement of clinical laboratory science.
