In this role, you will take ownership of client accounting engagements at a senior level, support the Accounting Manager in delivering high-quality outsourced accounting services, and help drive consistency and accuracy across the team's work.This is a leadership-adjacent role. You are not just executing tasks, you are setting the standard. You will be expected to review work, catch errors before they become problems, and bring a level of precision and ownership that raises the bar for everyone around you.You will be available during Eastern Time business hours and will show up for all team meetings.What You Will Be DoingOverseeing and delivering monthly accounting engagements for a portfolio of MSP clientsReviewing financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for accuracy before deliveryCoding and reviewing payments in Bill.com and managing accounts payable workflowsCategorizing transactions daily using QBO alongside DEXTProcessing and reviewing payroll with a high level of accuracySupporting and mentoring junior team members and reviewing their workCollaborating with leadership on client strategy, financial reporting, and special projectsIdentifying process gaps and building documentation that makes the team more efficientParticipating in client-facing meetings and responding to client inquiries with confidenceContributing to the firm's knowledge base in ConfluenceWhat We Are Looking ForThis role is for someone who has been around long enough to know what good looks like, and who holds themselves and their work to that standard every single day.You are a strong fit if you:Take full ownership of your work and the work you overseeCatch errors and inconsistencies without needing someone to point them outCommunicate clearly with clients and teammates in a fully remote environmentLead by example: you document, you follow through, and you do not cut cornersKnow how to manage your time across multiple clients without dropping the ballBring energy and engagement to the team, not just technical outputAre actively growing, pursuing certifications, learning new tools, pushing your own limitsCan work independently without daily check-ins and still deliver consistently excellent workExperience and QualificationsMinimum 5 years of accounting experience with clear progression and demonstrated depthAccounting degree requiredCPA preffered or actively pursuing licensureStrong QuickBooks Online proficiency required, this is non-negotiableExperience with Bill.com, Karbon, DEXT, or Fathom is a strong plusExperience with a PSA tool is preferred — ConnectWise, Halo, or AutotaskPrior experience in a supervisory, lead, or review capacity preferredReliable internet and a dedicated remote workspace requiredAvailable and responsive during Eastern Time business hoursWhat We OfferFully remote work environment with a team that actually communicates$75,000 to $85,000 per year based on experiencePerformance based bonusesPaid time offCompany 401(k) matchHealth insurance stipendCompany-provided laptop, second monitor, and technology needed to do your job wellA team culture built around autonomy, appreciation, and growth
