(Posted 5/20/26)Bay Area Ballet Conservatory is seeking highly qualified ballet instructors to teach Pre-Professional Division classes for the 2026/2027 School Session, beginning the week of August 24, 2026. Current openings include classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Availability for at least two teaching days per week is preferred.QualificationsProfessional ballet training background from a ballet-focused schoolProfessional performing experience in ballet preferred; BFA degrees in Dance/Ballet also welcomeMinimum of 5 years teaching experienceTeaching certifications and trainings, such as CPYB Teacher Training, are a plusResponsibilitiesPrepare and teach organized classes aligned with discussed level goals and school curriculumMaintain ongoing communication with the Artistic Director and Assistant DirectorPrepare choreography and material for the year-end concertAttend 2–3 mandatory paid faculty meetings per academic school yearAdditional OpportunitiesChoreography opportunities with Bay Area Youth BalletRehearsal Assistant positions for productions including The Nutcracker and other BAYB performancesQualified candidates should be dependable, professional, have reliable transportation, and be willing to undergo reference and background checks.Compensation is competitive with ballet-focused schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and is based on experience.
