The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Valet Parking Cashier (Seasonal)to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.Classification: Seasonal. The season begins May 2026 and ends no later than Sept 8, 2026Shift: Various - Must be available weekdays, weekends and holidays with an open schedulePay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $21.16 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.Union Position: This position is part of the Local 30 Union which requires complete open availability. We are not able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established. You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.What will I be doing?As a Valet Parking Cashier, you would be responsible for greeting guests and processing all parking transactions and associated fees in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Greet arriving and departing guests in a timely, friendly and efficient mannerTotal, process and collect payments from guests and all parking transactions to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, managing a bank, reporting discrepancies, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates, cards, vouchers and creditsOperate and manage the parking booth areaMaintain accurate records of parking-related charges and fees including, but not limited to parking rates, validations, accrued parking time, vehicles in the hotel's care, etc.Manage flow of traffic, as neededRespond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient mannerWhat are we looking for?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
