Front Desk Receptionist Summary: The front desk receptionist is responsible to ensure that all calls are answered in a timely manner and greet visitors as they arrive. This is done in a professional and courteous manner. Attendance and punctuality are crucial in this position.Answer calls in a timely and courteous manner.Minimize callers hold timeGather information from caller as to the nature of the call prior to transferring.If it is a patient, get name, and Date of Birth prior to transferring to appropriate party.Greet all visitors to the officeMaintain workplace security by not allowing anyone to enter the workplace without an escort.Maintain company phone listingAssisting with a variety of administrative duties to include copying, faxing, and stamping outgoing mail.Attaching documents into EMR as assignedOther duties as assigned.Skills: A basic knowledge in healthcare setting is a plus. Excellent customer service skills a must. The ability to multi task and be a problem solver. General computer skills and email knowledge.Education: High School Diploma
