Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and personable Server to join our vibrant food and beverage team. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing systems like OpenTable or similar reservation platforms. Take accurate orders from guests, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are clearly communicated to the kitchen staff. Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders efficiently and handle cash or credit card transactions with precision. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes or beverages, and upsell items to enhance the dining experience while increasing sales. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations by bussing and resetting tables swiftly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly to uphold high standards of customer service. Uphold sanitation and food handling regulations, ensuring all food industry safety protocols are followed diligently. Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks when necessary, demonstrating versatility in the food service environment. Support guest relations by addressing inquiries professionally and creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Skills Proven experience in food service roles within restaurants or fine dining establishments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order processing and cashiering. Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude. Experience with reservation management tools like OpenTable is preferred but not required. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and bill splitting. Knowledge of restaurant operations including bussing, hosting/hostess duties, and general hospitality practices. Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for understanding food preparation processes.
