Software Developer with UX/UI Experience
Role OverviewOur early-stage startup is looking for a highly-motivated and experienced software engineer to join our team. We're at an exciting stage, having developed our MVP in collaboration with stakeholders as well as securing school-site partners to demonstrate our proof-of-concept. Now, we are looking for the right person to support testing, iterating, and ultimately driving the product forward. This is a unique opportunity to accelerate development on a validated product, influence product decisions, and potentially step into a leadership position. As a key member of a small, dynamic team, you'll have a significant impact on our product development and ultimately company direction.The ideal candidate will be experienced and professional, passionate about our mission, and excited by the challenge of turning a validated MVP into a market-ready product. We are looking for someone who is intrinsically motivated, conscientious, and ready to wear multiple hats as we navigate the early stages of our company's growth. Since its founding, SchoolSphere has graduated from Carnegie Mellon University’s Project Olympus and TechStars Catalyst. Founder Elizabeth Brooks has worked in public schools across rural, urban, and suburban low-income communities and attended public schools. She has two master’s degrees from schools of education: Seattle University (MIT, Secondary Education) and California State University - Los Angeles (MA, Educational Foundations). Previously, she has received research funding from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Washington, in addition to government and non-profit funding.
