Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver – Long Haul (CDL-A)

Job Summary We are seeking experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Drivers with a valid CDL-A license to join our team for long-haul routes. This role involves operating tractor-trailers across various states, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of livestock or freight. Candidates should possess strong driving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to handle different types of cargo and trailers. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across long distances on assigned routes Load and unload livestock/freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary Transport refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks depending on cargo specifications Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with DOT regulations Follow route schedules diligently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery priorities Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any issues encountered during routes Skills Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and long-haul deliveries Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when required Strong navigation skills for planning optimal routes across multiple states Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines consistently Physical ability to handle cargo loads and perform vehicle inspections regularly Prior experience with livestock and freight handling, including roll-off trucks or tractor-trailers for freight transportation This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
