Project Manager - Mechanicsville, VADuration: 12+ months (Hybrid)About the Role:Seeking for a Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex IT projects with multiple teams and work streams. You will be responsible for guiding the project through its various phases, ensuring successful completion on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Act as a technical project manager with development staff and business groups.Coordinate and communicate with ITD management and staff for task and resource management.Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors, including contract management.Maintain project budget, plans, schedules, risks, and disseminate information according to the communications plan.Ensure documentation of requirements, facilitate design workshops, and define test objectives.Provide management of project milestones and deliverables for on-time and on-budget delivery.Define, measure, and communicate progress using metrics.Support system and application training efforts.Qualifications Required:Strong interaction skills with customers and project team members.Experience with project management tools, methods, and practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Project software and Microsoft Office Suite.Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies.Active PMP or VITA certified Project Management certification.Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.Preferred:Agile Scrum Master certification.Experience with Federal/State/Government Projects.Must Have Skills:Current PMP from PMI - 10 YearsMinimum 15 years of experience managing large projectsSolid understanding of software development life cycle models and both Agile and Waterfall project management principles - 5 YearsExperience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server) - 5 Years
