Interior Design Project Manager
Overview:The Project Manager ensures that every project, from renovation to furniture installation, runs smoothly, on time, and to DRD’s high standards. This role focuses on supporting the design team by managing the lifecycle of specified products - tracking orders, coordinating deliveries, overseeing logistics, and ensuring items are ready for trades, installers, and styling teams. Additional responsibilities include assisting with proposals, supporting photoshoots, and helping maintain project calendars and workflows. The Project Manager works closely with designers, vendors, contractors, and clients to help deliver beautiful, well-executed spaces.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Lifecycle ManagementOwn the full lifecycle of products specified by DRD, ensuring timely pricing, tracking, delivery, and availability for use by trades, installers, and styling teams.Assist with obtaining quotes and proposal preparation; accurately price designer selections and create client proposals throughout the project lifecycle.Communicate with vendors to track the status of each item ordered or reserved, organize up-to-date tracking and shipping information in a shareable format for designers and clients, and notify relevant parties of changes to ETAs and lead times.Manage deliveries and accessories inventory at offsite storage units, including cataloging stock and coordinating with the team to pack and deliver designer selections to project sites.Create and maintain a comprehensive visual delivery file of new home furniture selections broken down by room.Support the Business Manager in overseeing POs for each project and process POs when the Business Manager is out of the office.Update order systems for completed deliveries and installations.Project Management & Field ExecutionMaintain clear project calendars and workflows, tracking product deliverables and proactively identifying risks or delays that could impact project progress.Leverage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure seamless execution of product-related tasks.Lead on-site coordination for installations and styling, ensuring products are ready, correctly placed, and meet DRD’s quality standards.Anticipate and resolve product-related challenges efficiently while maintaining project momentum.Support designers in urgent circumstances with selections when deadlines require immediate action, while prioritizing existing project plans.Work closely with designers to obtain field-ready product documentation (drawings, specifications, schedules) that is complete, clear, and actionable for execution.Installations & PhotoshootsOversee furniture, art, and accessory installations, ensuring precision, quality, and timely execution.Manage photoshoot logistics, including styling coordination, on-site oversight, and vendor scheduling.Collaborate with designers to ensure finished spaces are presentation-ready and aligned with the studio’s aesthetic standards.Qualifications & Experience3–5 years of experience in project coordination or project management within interior design, architecture, or a related field.Strong understanding of residential design and construction processes, including furniture, finishes, and fixtures.Experience managing product lifecycles, including tracking orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring items are installation-ready.Proficiency with project management tools, spreadsheets, and order tracking systems; experience with proposal and pricing tools a plus.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with designers, clients, vendors, contractors, and team members.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to anticipate challenges and follow through to resolution.Comfort with on-site work, including installations, deliveries, and photoshoot coordination.Must have a car and ability to travel locally to clients homes- which include in progress construction sites. Ability to ascend/descend stairs/ladders. Ability to regularly move boxes/ bins weighing up to 30 pounds.Ability to occasionally move boxes/bins weighing up to 50 pounds.Google Workspace proficiency (Sheets, Docs, Slides).Professional phone and email decorum.
