Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description Job Summary: Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions. Conducts a variety of echocardiographic tests, including stress echos and transesophageal ultrasounds, in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Responsibilities: Conduct diagnostic ultrasound procedures such as 2-D echo with M-Mode, spectral, and color flow Doppler, ensuring accurate data collection. Perform additional tests including EKGs, Event Monitors, Pulmonary Function Tests, and Stress Testing as appropriate. Record and document procedure data in patient charts and EMR systems, promptly communicating critical results to physicians. Maintain and disinfect ultrasound equipment to ensure patient safety and optimal performance. Assist with supply inventory, patient transport, clerical tasks, and team coordination to support departmental operations. Qualifications: Possess an Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from an accredited institution or equivalent on-the-job training with an allied health degree. Hold current Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or ARDMS registration as a cardiac sonographer, with CPR certification. Demonstrate 1-2 years of echocardiography experience, including proficiency with stress, transesophageal, and Doppler imaging. Exhibit excellent communication skills and interpersonal ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients, and families. Maintain knowledge of clinical interventions and ultrasound equipment relevant to cardiovascular diagnostics.
