Design Engineering Manager

Our client is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead and develop a high-performing engineering team within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in driving design excellence, improving manufacturability, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate brings both strong technical expertise and proven leadership experience, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, production, and supply chain teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and develop the design and project engineering teams to drive performance and productivityEstablish and implement design strategies, processes, and best practicesOversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project executionDrive innovation in design for manufacturability, including oversight of drawings and bills of materialsProvide technical leadership and resolve complex engineering and design challengesPrepare and present design proposals, project updates, and performance metrics to leadershipQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering8–10 years of experience in engineering design3–5 years of leadership or management experienceProficiency with CAD softwareStrong knowledge of applicable industry standards, codes, and regulationsExperience with design tools such as AutoCAD and Inventor
