Support Specialist I Contract DetailsDuration: 6‑month W2 contractWork Authorization: W2 only - no C2C or third‑party submissionsLocation: Onsite (between St. Paul and Mendota Heights, MN)Pay Rate: $30-$33 per hourJob SummaryThe Support Specialist I provides front‑line IT support to end users, serving as the first point of contact for technical issues. This role involves handling inbound support requests, managing tickets through a helpdesk system, and assisting users both remotely and in person. Essential Job DutiesAnswer inbound support calls, log issues as tickets, and escalate when necessaryMonitor and manage helpdesk tickets submitted via forms or emailCategorize, prioritize, and resolve tickets in a timely and accurate mannerEnsure all assigned tickets are completed thoroughly and documented properlySet up new user laptops, ship equipment as needed, and provide remote assistance with first‑time login and setupConfigure new user mobile devices and assist remotely with remaining setup tasksAssist users with computer and application login issuesProvide support for company‑issued printersAssist users with VPN connectivity issuesProvide basic assistance with application usage and escalate to training teams as appropriateSupport password resets and multi‑factor authentication (MFA) setupPerform other duties as assignedQualifications Education & CertificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred)Experience, Knowledge & SkillsBasic experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting laptops and desktopsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systemsBasic troubleshooting experience with Android and iOS devices Desired Skills and ExperienceHelp Desk, Service Desk, Windows 11, Windows OS, Technical SupportAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
