IT Application Developer / Java Developer

Job Role: IT Application Engineer Job Location: New York City, NY Job Duration: 6+ Months Skills Required: Scripting Language: Python, Database, Spring Boot, JDK 8 or 11 Notes: · Local profiles or commutable distance only. · Looking for senior programmer with minimum 10-15 years of experience- MUST · Previous experience in the financial services industry not required but a huge plus · Bachelor degree is MUST. · Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka Description: · Experienced Java Developer (JDK 8 or 11) · Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture · Solid understanding of common design patterns · Experience with Java database interoperability · Understanding RESTful services · Comfortable with writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing SQL code (Oracle preferred) · Experience with a scripting language (Bash, Python) · Solid understanding of automated testing (unit, acceptance, integration) Plus Skills: · Spring (including Spring Boot and Spring Boot Actuator) · Familiarity with NoSQL Databases · Familiarity with cloud-hosted microservices · Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) · DevOps experience · Must be able to perform Test Driven Development (TDD) · Comfortable working in an Agile Scrum environment (i.e., picking up tasks from a wide range of needs).
