Operator IV, Wastewater
Highlights of the RoleAs a Wastewater Operator IV, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of EPCOR’s wastewater facility. Reporting to the Plant Foreman, Operations Supervisor and/or Manager, you’ll serve as a lead operator, providing technical expertise and leadership to the wastewater operations team. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of our wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and environmental stewardship. What You’ll Be Responsible ForLead and mentor operations staff, promoting professional development through training and participation in safety, preventative maintenance, and system operations seminarsReceive and execute job assignments from the Plant Foreman, Operations Supervisor and/or Manager, ensuring projects are carried through to completionWork with the Foreman to resolve operational challenges, prioritizing tasks and determining necessary equipment, materials, and personnel resourcesMonitor work progress to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignmentsInspect completed projects to verify quality and compliance with standardsProvide leadership and direction to wastewater plant operations staffRead and interpret facility plans; coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors for project executionComplete purchase requisitions, maintenance records, and required reports; oversee equipment check sheets and perform other related duties as neededPerform other responsibilities as requested What’s Required to Be SuccessfulHigh school diploma or GED required5+ years of experience in wastewater operations1+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory roleGrade 4 certification in wastewater treatmentValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to work on-call shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidaysComprehensive knowledge of maintenance practices related to water production and wastewater treatment operationsFamiliarity with safety protocols for operating mechanical and electrical equipment in water and wastewater facilitiesPhysical ability to lift and move heavy materials, including 55-gallon drums and chlorine cylinders weighing up to 150 poundsAbility to operate company vehicles and equipmentWillingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme summer heatWhy EPCOR?We offer more than just a job - we offer a career with purpose.
