About Our ClientThe organization operates within the American entertainment distribution industry, challenging traditional content selection models by empowering a community of more than 2.5 million members to influence entertainment production, theatrical releases, and home viewing.The company has rapidly expanded its content library and continues to develop audience-driven entertainment experiences that give members greater influence over the stories and content they discover.About the OpportunityThe Sr Software Engineer plays a critical role in enhancing and scaling authentication systems and user-facing streaming APIs across mobile, television, and web platforms. This position leads technical design and execution supporting millions of users as the organization continues to expand its content library and digital experiences.The role requires strong ownership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to improve how audiences discover, access, and interact with entertainment content.Responsibilities• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of authentication and user APIs supporting mobile, TV, and web applications• Take ownership of technical outcomes and operate with an entrepreneurial mindset• Drive experimentation, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement in collaboration with stakeholders• Clearly communicate technical designs and implementation plans to support collaboration and informed business decisions• Prioritize high-impact opportunities while eliminating unnecessary work and complexity• Collaborate across engineering and product teams to drive API adoption and establish technical trust• Leverage AI, automated testing, data, and user feedback to guide implementation across the technology stack• Solve complex technical challenges creatively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environmentsRequirements• 7+ years of experience developing high-performance, reusable software• Strong proficiency with Node.js, React, GraphQL, REST, Protobuf, HTTPS, RabbitMQ, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, S3, Postgres, Redis, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog• Expertise in DevOps practices, including CI/CD and workflow optimization• Strong understanding of systems-thinking principles, including Kanban, pull systems, and total quality management• Experience leveraging AI models and coding agents to accelerate software development• Strong commitment to thoughtful architectural design focused on maintainability, scalability, and reliability• Ability to work proactively in dynamic environments with diverse user and business needs• Must be authorized to work in the United StatesPay Range and Compensation Package• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
