*Controller* *Middle-Market Industrial Company* *Position Summary* We are seeking an *experienced Controller* to oversee the company's accounting and financial reporting functions. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial information, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies, strengthening internal controls, and providing management with the financial information necessary to make informed business decisions. This is a hands-on leadership position suited for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in a *middle-market industrial or manufacturing environment*. *Essential Responsibilities* * Prepare accurate, timely, and useful *monthly and annual financial statements* for management. * Direct and manage the *month-end and year-end close processes*. * Ensure financial statements and accounting practices comply with *U.S. GAAP*. * Prepare and maintain *cash-flow forecasts* and provide management with visibility into cash requirements and liquidity. * Monitor *inventory levels, costing, and valuation*, identifying unusual or significant items and reporting them to management. * Establish, maintain, and improve *internal controls throughout the organization*, with particular emphasis on compliance, accuracy, risk management, and operational efficiency. * Manage, supervise, and develop the *accounting staff*. * Ensure timely and accurate compliance with *bank reporting requirements and financial covenants*. * Coordinate and support the *annual certified external audit*, working closely with outside auditors and providing necessary schedules, documentation, and information. * Oversee all *payroll functions*, whether handled internally or through a third-party payroll provider. * Provide regular *financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to management*. * Identify significant financial trends, variances, risks, and opportunities and communicate them effectively to senior management. *Ideal Candidate* The successful candidate will be a *hands-on, experienced accounting professional* who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with sound business judgment.
