This role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in managing Microsoft SQL Server environments across both on-premises and Azure cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in automation, DevOps practices, performance tuning, and high-availability systems to support mission-critical infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, configure, and maintain SQL Server environments (on-premises and Azure)Monitor and optimize database performance, including tuning and capacity planningImplement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategiesEnsure high availability and reliability of database systemsDevelop and maintain automation scripts and monitoring toolsSupport DevOps processes, including deployments across Dev, QA, and Production environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, cloud, network, security) to resolve issuesManage database security, access control, and compliance requirementsPerform system upgrades, patching, and testing activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve database and system-related issuesMaintain documentation, including configurations and operational proceduresParticipate in on-call rotation to support critical systemsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related fieldProven experience as a SQL Server AdministratorStrong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (on-premises and Azure environments)Hands-on experience with automation and DevOps practicesSolid understanding of performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recoveryExperience with database security, access management, and compliance standardsFamiliarity with ITIL processes and enterprise system management practicesPreferred QualificationsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation toolsKnowledge of monitoring and alerting solutionsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilities
