This CNC Mill / Lathe Machinist role supports multi-axis machining operations in a clean, structured, and climate-controlled environment. This is a stable, process-driven manufacturing operation — not a chaotic job shop. - The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes Load programs and verify machine setups Install tooling and set work offsets Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Perform in-process and final inspections Make minor offset adjustments as needed Safely use overhead cranes for material handling Monitor machines for proper operation Maintain production documentation Keep a clean and organized workspace You'll be part of a collaborative, team-focused production environment. - Machines, Controls & Equipment CNC Mills CNC Lathes Overhead crane systems Precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Specific machine brands and controls discussed during interview. - Materials You'll Work With Engineered thermoplastics High-performance polymer materials Industrial-grade specialty components - What We're Looking For Required High school diploma or GED 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred Experience operating CNC mills or lathes Ability to read blueprints Comfortable performing inspections Safety-focused mindset Preferred Experience with both mills and lathes Experience using overhead cranes Ability to make minor program edits Experience machining plastics - Work Environment Evantic offers Very clean and organized facility Climate-controlled manufacturing areas Diverse workforce (9+ languages spoken) Structured production workflow Professional equipment and material handling systems No lifting over 35 lbs This is a modern manufacturing environment designed for safety and efficiency. - Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay Range: $23 – $30/hr (DOE) Shift Differential: +$0.50/hr Schedule 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Mon–Fri) Overtime Options Start 1 hour early during weekdays 8-hour Saturday shifts available Benefits details discussed during interview. - About Evantic Evantic is a vertically integrated engineered polymer solutions provider headquartered in Houston, TX.
