Production Supervisor
Production Supervisor - 1st ShiftWe're looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead shift operations and drive performance on the production floor. In this role, you'll oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and support a team of operators to achieve production goals. You'll serve as a key frontline leader, helping keep operations running efficiently while addressing real-time challenges.What You'll DoLead and manage a team of production operators during assigned shiftsOversee daily production line operations to meet safety, quality, and productivity goalsTrain, coach, and motivate employees to ensure strong performance and adherence to standardsManage scheduling, attendance, and timecard approvalsPartner with HR and plant leadership on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee relationsEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulationsConduct initial investigations for safety incidents (RCCA) and implement corrective actionsMonitor product quality and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standardsCoordinate manpower and production planning to meet customer demand and shipment timelinesTrack and report production metrics (output, hours worked, key issues)Communicate production updates, challenges, and solutions during daily meetingsCollaborate cross-functionally with plant and corporate teams to support operationsLead or participate in special projects as assignedProvide after-hours support as needed based on business demandsWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED2 years of experience in a supervisor role preferably in a manufacturing settingAbility to work shift schedules onsitePreferred Qualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related fieldPrevious supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environmentExperience with PowerPoint is a plusWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed in both office and manufacturing settingsAbility to:Stand for extended periods (8–12 hours)Lift up to 120 lbsClimb stairs regularly and ladders as neededMaintain visual acuity (including color perception) and good hearingAll candidates must pass a pre-employment physical.Take a look at why so many of our team members continue their careers with Mapei-Polyglass!
