Manager, Implementation

Role Description Uplight is creating a new category of energy. We make software that manages energy resources in homes and businesses—including things like smart thermostats, electric vehicles, solar panels, storage batteries, heat pumps, and even people’s behavior—to generate, shift, or save energy to balance the grid, making it more efficient and reliable. This creates clean energy capacity that can be used by the power grid instead of burning more fossil fuels. Our solutions accelerate the transition to clean energy and save money for energy customers. We are looking for a Manager, Implementation to drive our company forward, and help us lead the clean energy revolution! How you will make an impact: Lead a team of Technical Project Managers responsible for the overall delivery and success in implementing Uplight products. Recruit, mentor, coach, and support a talented and passionate team. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including utility program staff and Uplight teams (Product, Engineering, Sales, Account Management, Finance). Communicate and coordinate cross-functionally to drive measurable results. Operate at both strategic (process improvement, long-term planning) and tactical (resolving risks, client escalations) levels. Qualifications Minimum of five years experience leading high-performance teams in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional project management and problem-solving skills. Proven track record in prioritizing competing priorities and making impactful decisions quickly. Ability to build and maintain partnerships while supporting departmental goals. Strong organizational skills with effective delegation abilities. Excellent client communication and management skills. Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives. Effective leadership through uncertainty and change. Up to 30% travel required for in-person client meetings, company on-sites, etc. Requirements Drive team's performance to achieve metrics and targets. Provide accountability for results and communicate performance outcomes to senior leadership. Ensure cross-functional resources are allocated to projects in the pipeline. Ensure proper use of training materials and project management best practices. Raise ideas to leadership using thoughtful and collaborative methods.
