In this role, you'll design, build, optimize, and support our next-generation AI-forward data platform, enabling scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that power advanced analytics and machine learning.If you thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy solving complex technical challenges.We'll Trust you to:Design, develop, optimize, and support Beghou's AI-forward data platformBuild scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks, Python, and PySparkDevelop cloud-native data solutions on AWS and/or AzureImplement software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and secure development practicesOptimize data processing performance, reliability, and scalabilityCollaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data productsApply cloud security and identity management best practices across the platformEvaluate and incorporate AI tools into development workflows to improve engineering productivity and solution qualityContribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, architecture, and platform capabilitiesYou'll need to have:Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field3+ years of professional data engineering experienceStrong programming experience with Python, including pandas and/or PySparkHands-on experience with Databricks and modern cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Amazon Redshift, or SnowflakeExperience using Git-based source control and modern CI/CD practicesExperience with identity and access management technologies such as Azure AD, Okta, OAuth, or SAMLKnowledge of cloud security best practicesPreferred QualificationsExperience with ETL platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, SnapLogic, or BoomiExperience with containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECSExperience developing web applications using Flask, Django, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or AjaxExperience incorporating AI-assisted development tools into engineering workflowsIndustry certifications such as:Databricks Certified Data EngineerAWS Certified Data EngineerMicrosoft Azure/Fabric Data EngineerGoogle Cloud Professional Data EngineerExperience in the life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industryThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Beghou, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000 to $105,000.We are currently unable to consider candidates who require or will require sponsorship for work authorization in the future.
