The Pharmacist will oversee and execute the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of specialty medications while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Key responsibilities include reviewing medication orders, conducting quality assurance checks, sterile compounding, counseling patients on prescriptions and treatment courses, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication therapy. The role also involves maintaining accurate inventory and pharmacy records and providing expertise to support optimal patient care.QualificationsStrong knowledge of pharmaceutical principles, medication management, and compliance with regulatory standards such as USP 797 and ACHC guidelinesProficiency in preparing, compounding, dispensing medications, and conducting quality control checksOutstanding communication and patient counseling skills with an emphasis on building trust and offering clear guidanceAbility to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environmentDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and record-keeping abilitiesProficiency in using pharmacy software programs and technology tools (CareTend, CPR+)Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent and an active pharmacist license in KentuckyExperience in infusion pharmacy services and/or sterile compounding is a plusCommitment to compassionate patient care and ongoing professional development
