Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities Include:Oversee, maintain, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility structures across all five DCs, traveling to other sites as needed.Provide triage support during MHE outages, including nights and weekends, and collaborate with vendors/manufacturers for training and troubleshooting.Work with various warehouse equipment, including racking, shelving, and conveyor systems, following established repair policies and safety protocols.Communicate and train maintenance personnel at other sites, audit schedules, inspect PM work, and ensure repair parts availability.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, manage tools and equipment (inventory, storage, security), and, if authorized, purchase necessary tools and supplies.Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify repair needs, safety concerns, or improvement opportunities.Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.Complete basic carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and minor construction projects as needed.Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or coordinate with outside vendors when necessary.Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, working conditionEnsure facility operations comply with safety regulations, company standards, and local codes.Assist with emergency maintenance situations, including after‑hours or on‑call support as required.Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records.Work collaboratively with operations, management, and vendors to support facility needs.Provide courteous and responsive service to employees, tenants, or visitors.Preferred Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.1+ years’ experience with automated conveyor systems, controls, predictive/preventive maintenance, or industrial maintenance.Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to work independently.Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work from elevated surfaces for extended periods.Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 15–60 pounds.Willingness to travel to other DC locations (~15%) as needed.Experience working around moving machinery, heavy equipment, loud noises, and in various weather conditions or confined spaces.Must wear proper safety equipment at all times.ABOUT DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENTDistribution Management is a national fulfillment and distribution provider specializing in automated order handling, fulfillment, and shipping of consumer package goods.
