Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing
Description of Job
This position is responsible for the efficient operation of designated production equipment and coordinating the activities of production planning and manufacturing.
Primary Accountabilities
Ensuring team compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Maintains good manufacturing practices, housekeeping standards and safety precautions. Compliance with all food safety regulations and company quality policies.
Oversee startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment. Performs pre and post production line checks.
Optimize operational efficiencies to support all production activities.
Track operational output measures (i.e. efficiency, yield loss, product quality, inventory accuracy, transactional accuracy), anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets.
Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
Completes all batch records, cleaning and maintenance logs.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and production needs in an expeditious professional manner.
Ability to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures or breakdowns.
Install, maintain and support all production related equipment utilized in processing areas.
Use a variety of test equipment, machines, hand tools and computer aided equipment.
Performing additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
3-5 years supervising in food or beverage manufacturing.
A high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to operate, maintain, diagnosis and repair equipment and machines in an industrial environment.
Must have computing skills to operate and interface with manufacturing software.
Ability to listen, understand and communicate written and verbal information and ideas.
Ability to perform work within established guidelines i.e., in a safe matter.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Ability to work any shift and overtime.
Forklift certified.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces.
Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms.
Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hair/beard net and gloves when required.
Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions.
Ability to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery and maintain and repair this equipment.
Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment.

Pay: $39,070.48 - $49,052.63 per year
