We are seeking dynamic professionals who embody our core values of Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence to join our growing Crew in support of our customers across the federal, state, and commercial markets.We are seeking a System Administrator – Windows (Night Shift) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.What You'll Be Doing Build, configure, deploy, administer, maintain and troubleshoot virtual and physical servers/systems.Ensure system changes are completed in accordance with developer documentation, configuration management and documentation practicesMake recommendations to plan, develop and execute work plans that achieve critical-path requirementsPerform necessary physical inspections and research using system/event logs and appropriate tools/software to identify problems, trends and aid in troubleshooting actionsProvide timely updates to appropriate team leads, managers and stakeholders on status of tasks and troubleshooting effortsInstall, configure, and manage on-prem Active Directory environment including configuration and implementation of GPOsAssist integration leads and managers in problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation as neededAdvise team members and leadership and make appropriate technical recommendations regarding system development issues and improvements, optimization tools and methods, process creation and development, and support effortsUse REMEDY ticketing system to report, track and document incidents and resolution of actions on faulty systemsPerform evening shift work, typically 1400-2200 but may change to meet off-hour mission activitiesResumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The selected candidate may be assigned as an employee for one of our teammate companies.What You Bring Basic Requirements:Must have 6, or more, years of general (full-time) work experienceMay be reduced with completion of advanced educationMust have 4, or more, years of directly relatable experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and applications such as Windows Server 2022 and Windows 11Must have strong knowledge of Active Directory Users and Computers, Sites and Services, DNS, Group Policy, TCP/IP networking and LDAPMust have experience with Multi Factor Authentication methodologyMust have experience building, configuring and deploying servers/systems in a virtualized environmentMust be able to interface with software engineers, system engineers, and subject matter experts to solve complex integration and technical problemsMust have a current DoD approved 8570 Level II certification such as Security+ CEMust have an active DoD Secret Security ClearanceDesired Requirements:Have a strong understanding of troubleshooting approaches and root cause analysisHave experience with security patching and software management using WSUSHave experience with NetApp NAS storageHave a working knowledge of PowerShell scriptingHave a strong understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)Have knowledge of Missile Defense, DoD communications systems and MDIOC operationsHave a degree in an IT or Engineering related disciplineWhy LaunchTech?
