The Freight Agent will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing transportation logistics, building and maintaining client relationships, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties will include negotiating rates with carriers, monitoring shipments to ensure on-time delivery, preparing necessary shipping documents, and resolving any transit-related issues. While the position is based in Bakersfield, some work-from-home flexibility is available.QualificationsKnowledge of logistics, freight operations, and transportation regulationsStrong negotiation skills and experience in building vendor relationshipsExcellent coordination and organizational skills for scheduling and tracking shipmentsProficiency in communication and customer service to foster client relationshipsFamiliarity with logistics software and systems is preferredAbility to identify and resolve issues efficiently under tight deadlinesHigh school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred
