Position: Drupal Web/Application DeveloperProject Focus: Homepage redesign and website search improvementsWork Arrangement: 100% remoteHours: 15–40 hours per weekOpportunity Type: Project/ContractWe are seeking an experienced Drupal Web/Application Developer to support a website modernization project focused on homepage redesign, front-end improvements, and enhancing website search capabilities.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Drupal CMS, front-end web development, and Drupal-based search technologies, particularly Apache Solr / Search API Solr. This role is well suited for a developer who can work independently on an existing website, implement front-end enhancements, manage CMS content, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve website performance, accessibility, and security.This is a project-based opportunity requiring approximately 15–40 hours per week.Key ResponsibilitiesDrupal CMS / Drupal web developmentApache Solr / Drupal Search API SolrHTML5, CSS3, and JavaScriptDrupal front-end developmentWebsite and CMS content managementHomepage/UI redesign and responsive web developmentWCAG / Section 508 accessibility complianceWebsite security, SSL/TLS, WAF/firewalls, and vulnerability remediationApache/Nginx and web hosting environmentsWebsite troubleshooting and production supportPerformance optimization and cachingHighly Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with Apache SolrExperience with Drupal Search API / Search API SolrExperience with Solr indexing, configuration, search relevance, filtering, and faceted searchExperience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch as an alternative search platformExperience with Apache/Nginx web serversExperience with AWS or other cloud hosting environmentsExperience with Drupal multisite environmentsExperience supporting government, public-sector, healthcare, or other highly regulated websitesExperience with homepage redesigns and website modernization projects
