They will do a 90-day review and will be eligible for 1 work from home day.Hours: Full-time; M-F 10:00-6:30 (1-hour lunch); overtime requiredFLSA Status: Non-ExemptTerm: Permanent / FulltimeReferral Bonus: $500 - should your referral start with our clientJOB DESCRIPTIONAM Law 200 law firm is seeking a Legal Support Team Specialist in their Washington, D.C. office responsible for assisting and supporting attorneys and paralegals through the performance of complete administrative and clerical duties. This position requires prior experience as a legal assistant, preferably in litigation, in a law firm or similar setting. Must have strong organizational skills, requiring excellent clerical skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Shall be proficient in the use of word processing and other automated equipment, Microsoft Office Suite and other software packages. The specific requirements for this position include but are not limited to those outlined below.Overall ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties will include, but are not limited to the following:Provide legal, word processing, and administrative support to attorneys and paralegalsProvide physical floater coverage to legal assistants as assignedSchedule and organize activities such as meetings, travel, and conferences for attorneysMaintain and update all filing, including organizing and maintaining attorneys' case filesPrepare monthly client billing for transmittal to clients according to Firm guidelines (including review for edits/corrections)Prepare reimbursement and marketing expense reports; track reimbursements for receipt of paymentMaintain personal correspondence, reading files, billing letters, expense reports, time entry filesEnter timesheets into CMS database for attorneysOpen new client/matter files per Firm proceduresAbility to work with attorney calendars and contacts when requestedPerforms any other duties that may be assigned with regard to this positionCompetency with the following software:Word 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Styles, Table of Authorities and Table of ContentsKofax PDF (converting/formatting documents from PDF to Word and bookmarking, redacting, bookmarking, highlighting, etc. within PDF)NetDocs or an understanding of a document management systemLitera or an understanding of redlining documents and tracking changesRequired skillsExcellent office coordination and organizational skillsExceptional word processing skillsExcellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills, as well as tact and diplomacy sufficient to gain the respect of attorneys and employeesProfessional demeanor and customer service orientatedStrong ability to perceive and analyze problems, as well as develop, recommend and implement practical solutionsAssertive and confidentQuality control and detail orientedTeam oriented, flexible and creativeProficiency in navigating through entire Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to communicate effectively with clients
