Summer Band Staff Pipestone Area SchoolsJob DescriptionPipestone Area Schools is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to serve as Summer Band Staff under the direction of the Director of Bands. Staff will support both the marching band program (field and parade) and beginning band instruction during the summer months.Instructional Areas May IncludeWoodwinds Brass Percussion Colorguard Staff will work with students across a wide range of ages and ability levels, contributing to a positive, structured, and high-achieving learning environment.QualificationsExperience performing in and/or teaching concert band, marching band, or colorguard Ability to effectively teach and engage students of varying skill levels and ages Strong communication and organizational skills Positive, energetic, and professional demeanor Ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment Ability to successfully pass a background checkResponsibilitiesAssist with rehearsals for marching band (field and parade) Provide instruction for beginning band students in assigned area(s) Support student learning through clear instruction, feedback, and modeling Maintain a positive and professional rehearsal environment Follow direction and collaborate with the Director of Bands and staff Uphold the standards, expectations, and traditions of the Pipestone Band program ScheduleHours will vary based on area of expertise and program needs. Staff will be scheduled for specific rehearsals, sectionals, and instructional blocks throughout the summer.CompensationHourly rate: $13 $30 per hour, based on experience.
