Energy Marshal
Job Title: Energy MarshalJob DescriptionThe Energy Marshal will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating changes in energy events at the construction site. This role requires collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure project schedules are adhered to, as well as ensuring compliance with site-specific Control of Hazardous Energy Requirements. The Energy Marshal will also assist in the commissioning process and lead document management related to energy events.ResponsibilitiesAssist in creating and maintaining site-specific Control of Hazardous Energy requirements.Review and validate safety programs of trade partners, vendors, and third parties.Authorize applications for changes in energy on-site.Communicate effectively with project owners, staff, craft, trade partners, and vendors.Participate in the six-step quality control/safety process.Maintain documentation related to change of energy requests.Conduct field audits to match authorized applications.Identify hazardous conditions and establish safe boundaries.Evaluate field activities to ensure processes are followed.Report discrepancies to the Project Management Team.Coordinate with utility providers for safety conditions.Identify operational requirements for voltages up to 230,000 Volts.Coordinate safe operation of equipment with vendors and trade partners.Participate in First Time Energizations and First of Kind activities.Provide on-site electrical safety training.Request, collect, and catalog submittals from trade partners.Brand and assemble materials for project manuals and reports.Integrate with Facility Solutions and Commissioning Associates.Lead and mentor Facility Solution Associates.Implement activities related to Operational Project Readiness.Essential Skills2-5 years of relevant work experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Basic written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented and highly organized.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.Problem-solving skills.Ability to perform tasks with minimal oversight.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with safety, electrical, and energy analysis.Knowledge of health & safety and environmental safety.OSHA 30 certification.Experience in project coordination, commissioning, and facilities management.Work EnvironmentThe role requires working on-site every day, with exposure to high and low temperatures, noisy environments, and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. The position involves physical demands including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, frequent movement around the job site, and operation of a computer and office machinery. Climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, and grasping are regular activities. Visual acuity and the ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate are necessary.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Kuna, ID.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.Hensel Phelps provides generous benefits for our fulltime employees.
