Salary: Up to $27/hour based on experienceWe are hiring for an Install Apprentice to join our growing team in Onalaska, WI.This is an entry-level position where youll gain hands-on experience in residential and commercial fence, deck & railing, landscape, and irrigation installation, as well as landscape-maintenance services, while learning from experienced crew leaders. Previous outdoor service experience preferred but not required.As a first-year apprentice, youll also cross-train in all divisions when needed. This role is ideal for those who thrive on variety, are eager to learn new skills, and enjoy supporting their teammates and the business objectives.After completing your first year gaining experience across all divisions, apprentices may have the opportunity to transition into a more permanent role aligned with their skill set, like installing fences, while following a long-term growth path within the organization.This role offers up to $27/hour and up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus, profit sharing, and comprehensive benefits.PurposeSupport installation crews by learning and performing fundamental tasks, developing installation skills under crew leader mentorship, and contributing to safe, quality projects across all service divisions.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with site preparation, material handling, and installation tasksComplete structured training modules covering safety, equipment operation, and installation techniquesOperate jobsite tools and machinery safely and proficientlyMaintain clean and organized jobsites based on company standardsShadow experienced installers and progressively build installation skillsParticipate in scheduled training sessions and performance reviews with assigned leaderCommunicate effectively with team members, crew leaders, and project managersAssist other install and maintenance divisions as neededRequired QualificationsAbility to perform physical labor including lifting 50+ lbs, kneeling, and standing for extended periodsStrong safety awareness and commitment to protocolsReliable attendance and punctualityPositive attitude and willingness to master installation techniquesTeam-oriented with ability to take directionPrior experience in fence, deck, landscape, irrigation, or maintenance work preferred but not requiredTraining & DevelopmentStructured training combining online learning, workshops, and on-the-job experienceSkill assessments at 30, 60, 90 days, then quarterlyAssigned mentor providing coaching and growth opportunitiesClear advancement path toward crew lead roleReporting StructureReports to assigned Crew Leader with regular check-inCompensation & BenefitsBase Pay: Up to $27/hour based on experienceSign-On Bonus: Up to $1,000Health, dental, and vision insuranceRetirementUp to 4 weeks paid time off (PTO) annuallyProfit sharing programOngoing professional developmentAward-winning company cultureStrong community reputationWork EnvironmentOutdoor jobsites in various weather conditions.
