Job Opportunity: Azure Platform Engineer (Data & Analytics)About the RoleOne of our clients is looking for an Azure Platform Engineer and play a key role in leveraging cloud technologies to support and enhance our enterprise Data & Analytics environment using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse.🔹Role : Senior IT Infrastructure Architect🔹Location : New York, United States -------- Hybrid🔹Engagement: Contract🔹Experience : 10+ YearsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and architecture for our enterprise Data & Analytics environment using Microsoft Fabric and Synapse, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance.Collaborate closely with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions and support.Implement and enforce best practices for cloud security, governance, and compliance using Azure tools and services.Configure and manage Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics to support large-scale data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics.Administer and optimize Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Database for managing structured and unstructured data.Integrate and automate Azure services and APIs to enable seamless data ingestion from multiple sources and formats.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure and data solutions using Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics.Provide technical guidance and support to team members and cross-functional stakeholders.Stay current with emerging Azure technologies, tools, and cloud industry trends.Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to promptly address and resolve technical issues.Required Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, particularly Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse.Strong experience in cloud engineering and architecture using Azure Data Factory (Data Flows & Pipelines), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and related Azure services.Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks and tools.Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architectures.Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.Experience with Azure monitoring and troubleshooting tools, including Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and scalability.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to adapt to changing business priorities, technologies, and processes.Ability to travel to district locations and lift up to 35 lbs.Valid driver's license required.Preferred QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.Microsoft certifications such as:Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertExperience supporting enterprise Data & Analytics environments.Experience creating technical documentation, process maps, and knowledge transfer materials.Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and SOX.
