You will design and develop robust backend systems serving U.S. enterprise clients, collaborating with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps in an agile environment. This is a great opportunity for a skilled Java engineer ready to take ownership of meaningful, production-grade work.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring BootContribute to system architecture and design decisions with best practices in mindCollaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOpsParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planningWrite clean, scalable, and well-documented codeTroubleshoot production issues and contribute to root cause analysisOptionally support product ownership tasks such as requirement elicitation and solution scopingQualifications & RequirementsTechnical Expertise3+ years of professional experience in backend Java developmentStrong hands-on experience with Spring BootProven experience designing and building RESTful APIsSolid understanding of software development best practices and architecture patternsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available at this time)Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have)Java certification(s)Experience with Microsoft AzureExperience building and managing CI/CD pipelinesSoft Skills & Work ExpectationsExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesComfortable working in a collaborative, agile team environmentU.S. Citizen/Naturalized Citizens/Permanent ResidentsEngagement StructureThis is a contract-to-hire position. The initial one-year employment contract is through ExeQut, with the candidate working hybrid at our client's Maryland location.
