The Medical Assistant in patient care under the direction of the clinicians and Clinic Nurses, assisting in providing excellent primary health care to our patients. This is a full-time position with a schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Bilingual speaking ability of English & Spanish preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.SkillsProficient spelling necessary.Ability to work and function independently and within a team.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.Proficient knowledge in computer software such as Microsoft Office Software.Able to perform proficiently on current practice management system and/or electronic medical records.Required QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent required.1+ year of Medical Assistant experience required.Why Join Community Clinic?Be a part of a mission-driven organization committed to providing access to health-care to everyone in your community!Excellent Benefits Package including:Health, Vision, Dental and Life Insurance403(b) Retirement plan (automatic employer contribution of 5% per paycheck!)Paid Time Off and HolidaysEmployee Discounts for Care
