Harness Assembly Technician

Harness Assembly Technician This job requires that the candidate be able to perform tasks necessary to put together, test, troubleshoot, and document wire harnesses. Attention to detail and the ability to handle challenges are necessary to be successful in this position. The job will also require that established procedures and documentation are followed to complete harness assemblies that are reliable. Duties/Responsibilities of Harness Assembly Technician Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures. Final assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of harness assemblies. Collect all materials and equipment needed to begin the process. Report issues, malfunctions, or defective parts to the supervisor. Quality checks all harnesses before shipping them to the customer. Ability to work on repetitive tasks for long periods of time. Qualifications and Education Requirements A high school diploma (GED) is preferred. Requirements and Skills Ability in using tools (e.g., hand tools) and soldering tools Good understanding of quality control principles Good communication skills (verbal and written) Listening to verbal instructions Staying on task is a must Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. You will be advanced through training depending on individual skill sets. You will be expected to learn through experience and asking questions for clarification.
